Basics - Yonkajo
For the basic yonkajo grip the thumb of your left hand should be on the inside crease of your partners left wrist.
The little finger of your right hand fits directly under the index finger of your left hand.
Your right palm should be flush against your partners forearm with the base of your index finger on their pulse point.
Your hands shouldn't overlap or be too far apart.
Don't try to twist or squeeze ukes arm to cause pain. Think more about controlling all of uke through the connection from their elbow and shoulder to take their balance.
